What do you want from an AI companion?

I'm sure we've all been there: Character.ai, Janitor AI, Kindroid, etc.. We've all looked for something that has what we want, and come up empty. At Project Sylvie, we shared that very experience. That's why we wanted to come up with our own take on the idea.

Why should we stick to a strict "You send a message, AI sends a message" loop?

We asked ourselves these questions and more, and couldn't come up with a better answer than "Nobody's done it yet". And if that's the case, then perhaps we can start on that.

Project Sylvie's focus is on realism, personalisation, and building a genuine AI companion that makes you feel like you're walking side by side with a real person. There're many things we have yet to learn, and many experiences we have yet to have, but we want to do it with a community. That means you.
