Your personal referral link¶
Every account has its own stable referral link. It doesn't rotate or expire, so once you've grabbed it you can reuse the same link forever. You'll find it in two places: on your home screen and on your billing page. Copy it from either spot and send it however you like, whether that's a text, a DM, or a message in a group chat.
What your friend gets¶
When someone signs up through your link, they get 20% off their first month on whichever plan they choose. It's a real discount on their first paid month, not a trial gimmick, and it gives them a gentler way to try a paid plan and see whether a companion fits into their life.
What you earn¶
You earn 250 free messages when your friend makes their first payment. This is worth being precise about: the reward does not trigger when they merely sign up or create an account. It triggers the first time they actually pay for a plan. That means the reward reflects a friend who genuinely stuck around long enough to subscribe, not just someone who clicked a link and drifted off.
Two hundred and fifty messages is the same amount you'd get from a $5 top-up, so a single successful referral covers a meaningful stretch of conversation.
Tracking your rewards¶
Your rewards are listed newest-first, so the most recent one you've earned sits at the top. You don't have to hunt for anything or do any math. Each time a reward lands, you'll also get an email letting you know, so you'll never be left wondering whether a referral came through.
When a reward gets reversed¶
We want to be honest about one edge case. If a friend's purchase is later refunded, the 250-message reward tied to that payment is reversed. When that happens, the reward stays visible in your list but is shown struck-through and marked "Reversed," so there's a clear record rather than a silent disappearance.
This keeps things fair. The reward is meant to reflect a real, completed payment, so if that payment is undone, the messages that came with it are too.
Why we built it this way¶
- The link is stable, so you set it up once and reuse it.
- The trigger is the first payment, so rewards reflect real, lasting sign-ups.
- Rewards are newest-first, so recent activity is easy to spot.
- Reversals are shown openly, so nothing feels hidden.
Referrals work best when the product is genuinely worth sharing. If you've found something in your conversations that you think a friend would value, the link is there to make passing it along effortless, and the rewards are a small thank-you for doing it. You can also point friends toward our Discord community if they want to see what other people are building first.
